I think the motherboard is picky about ram. The RS482 works with optimized defualts loaded(everything auto), but when i try to change anything or overclock at all it has this random restart problem where it runs between anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, and restarts with no bsod or error msg, or anything in the event manager. Except, just about an hour ago, i set the 2/1 divider to try and put the ram out of the question, and I got a "Windows has just recovered from a fatal error" that said that the problem was probably caused by my ram. Thats what made me think its a ram/mobo thing. I also ran the computer with the highest divider effectively running the ram at ddr 500 to see if the ram could handle it, and ran memtest 86 for like 8 hours no errors. So... I don't think its that I have bad ram.
---What would be the best timings/settings in bios for this mobo(DFI Infinity RS482) if I'm trying to overclock?

hey
i've got exactly the same prob with my rdx200!
but i'm using the 1024 GH (utt or bh-5?)

i couldn't fix it....even drive strength and data didn't improve the situation.
i'm very sad!

any conclusions?

Is there a way to take pictures of the bios using the computer, without a camera? I don't have one at the moment.

So can you tell me the best settings for ram if i wanted to run it 1:1 at 270 htt?
Also, does random rebooting with no blue screen sound like a ram problem? Just last night i overclocked it to 2.4 and used some of the ram settings posted on a sticky for a different dfi board and it ran prime95 for 13 hours wihtout a single error. I then exited prime95 and proceeded to post my success on this forum, when it rebooted mid sentence ( :( I nearly cried) with no bsod, freezing, error, or anything. It's like someone just pushed the reset button. Does this sound like it could be a ram issue?

O and those are the settings with optimized defaults loaded. The computer doesnt seem to restart with optimized defaults loaded for everything.
EDIT: Actually, now the computer does restart with optimized defaults loaded, but it reboots much less often than when i try to oc.

This might have something to do with your problem... Might not. I think everyone is still sorting the PSU thing out. I see around the web that a new bios was released this month.... I haven't seen the specs on it tho
