And a snapshot of the car before it changes...won't look like this for long:

Please ignore the filthy car in the pictures :D

impressive to say the least.

Glad to see the car is well taken care of :)

Very nice, although I must admit I was never a fan of those rims.. Very popular rims for Car shows (Vintage Chevy and Ford), but I never liked them. On the other hand, the rubber you got on there is very nice

The car is filthy and I didn't take any close up pictures for a reason. I am not really showing the car in these pics, just the wheels. They were polished by hand with Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish and I can't believe how well they shined up. They have a certain "glow" that even chrome doesn't have.

There will be a lot more to come but I have a lot of work to do first...

Like maxx, I've never really liked those particular rims, but damn that car is coming along nicely. New video sometime soon, perhaps? :)

Yeah, after blacking out the turn signals, side markers, doing Blackbird stripes, new tail lights, new center panel with !bird mod, new tips, tint, tuning, and a wash/clay/paint touchup/scratch removal/polish/wax extravaganza...I might make one ;)

The engine is in no condition to show at the moment. Sorry but I would be embarrassed :(

One thing at a time. This is just a wheels thread ;)

After a !wiring mod, cleaning/detail (MUCH needed) and a few dress up items I will be ready to show it but it's last on the list at the moment. The exterior is getting the spotlight next.

You have to remember i've only had this car for ~8 months and I am systematically going through it after the last owner didn't take very good care of it. Also not everyone is an "enthusiast" so they won't pay as much attention to detail as me...

true, my h-body is being focused primarily on a new engine and I hope to make around 300HP N/A (though I'm ona student's budget), later upgrading brake/suspension and last the body and shoes (few rusty spots and looking for some 15" wheels, but I may go for a 5lug conversion)
'
bottom line: project cars are fun but time consuming.. :-/

These are 17" and sometimes even they look small on this car. 15's would be...tiny...

my philosophy. be damned what it looks like (as long as you dont makea concious effort to make it look fugly) as long as it goes fast and handles well.

Maybe for a track only car, which isn't what this is. Since I will be taking it to a lot of shows I am a firm believer in making it look as good as it performs. And it will ;)
