My 520w TTGI was broken so I bought the 420w (non-EPS) TTGI to replace it. I have a 9700 Pro, 1900mhz 2v palamino, CD-RW & DVD-Drive, Seagate 40GB hd, KD7-E, 512mb XMS3200 C2 @ 2.85, floppy, Santa Cruz, 3Com NIC, 2 x 120mm 85cfm fans, 2 x 30cfm fans, 3 x 25cfm fans. When I load up the computer I get only a black screen and my mouse pointer. What could be wrong?

Sounds like its failing at load up. Freezing to me.

Well I assume the 520w power supply stopped working was a blown fuse since I turned on and off the power to the house real quick by accident. I tried to load up the computer at the default 1600+ speed but no go. What piece of hardware do you think was damaged?

Since you have a spare PSU, test that 520 there. See if it powers up ok.
Use a paperclip and go from the #14 wire (should be green) to any black and it should start the PSU.
If thats a no go, I would start swapping out parts to see what changes. If any.
I would first remove all the un-needed cards. Then try to swap out for a 2nd video, memory then cpu.

Can you give me a little more specific details of how to setup the paperclip? I'm not real knowledgable in this department.

See the 2 spots there? Green & Black. Just take a paper clip and short the 2 spots there.

Full how to on several ways to do it are here (http://www.speedy3d.com/articles/case_mod_p3/index.shtml).

Edit: Ok I fixed it, apparently I had put the battery (or whatever that silver round thing is) upside down
