I picked it up at a garage sale for $1 - it's a camera flash attachment for cameras that don't have one, insert 2 AA batteries, turn the switch on and wait for the orange light, when it's on you press a button on the side and it flashes - but what do i do with it? besides blindng random people what ideas can you come up with?

add a timer and make yourself a flash grenade, other than that i dont think you can do anything really positive with it

WARNING: Before doing the following, make sure stun guns/tasers are legal in your country/state/etc. I accept no resposibilites for any injuries, deaths, or other physical disabilities caused by the creation of a homemade stungun.

Take out the bulb, attach two long wires, one to positive and one to negative where the bulb would go. Build an enclosure for these wires and the flash electronics, and have a 1 inch long piece of metal attached to each wire, sticking out of the enclosure. Voila, instant extremely painful stun gun.

Use it to blind people, or make a stun gun.

Camera stun gun burns, it has a capacitor inside which passed a large amount of current onto the victim's skin, can and probably will cause 2nd degree burn.

I say set up a little trap, so when someone opens the door it flashes and blinds them, lol.

it's kinda low voltage for a stun gun, they are usually in the couple kilovolt areas, flash capacitors are 200-400 volts
