Im thinking of adding a pelt to my existing watercooling, consisting of a Swiftech 676 rad, Eheim 1048 pump and a MCW462U. Now im going to buy a MCW50-T and use it on my videocard. Im wondering if this will raise my CPU temp to much, and approximately how much will my water temp rise? I use a 3 litre custom reservoir with the pump in it. Or would i be better of just buying the regular MCW50?

I think with the pelt you'd see around 3-5 degrees increase in cpu temps. Depends though.

If you put the video block before the cpu block it will definately increase temps on the cpu. If you put it after temps may still increase due to decreased flow or the radiator not losing all of the extra heat before the water returns to the system.

I've had some luck with pelts before. But i used them on the cpu because i felt there was more to be gained there.

i can live with 3-5 more degrees. But will my 550W Q-Tec give enough power to the 80w pelt ?

I think any reputable 550W supply should have no trouble with an 80W pelt. Most put out over 200w on the 12v side which should be more than sufficient.

it puts out 240W. Now im really close to ordering :)
