Please explain the beta bios. Ive heard alot of talk about it but what is it exactly, a hacked bios or?? Maybe Id give it a try.

It's online @ Asus now as well. Officially it gives support for 965XE, does it do anything for conroe, or are we beyond hope that a bios update will be enough for the P5WD2-E?

Asus never reveals the beta bios fixes... :mad:
It surely supports rev C1 9x0 cpus.
Has anyone tried 0511 for -WS?

The Pentium Extreme Edition 965 rev C has been released so now they are putting out beta bioses to support it. No bios for a processor they have not been able to sample yet such as the Conroe. Soon after the processor is available beta bioses may come out for Conroe but probably not before.

I'm sure Asus has had conroe cpu's to test for a while now. The place I get my es's from has had them for a few weeks now.

So many people with ES but so few reviews...... Victor Wang is the only one so far. We are all waiting to see another. Where are they handing out these ES?

I think most of us are just waiting on some decent boards ;) I'll probably only be able to get one es Conroe so I'm waiting on an Asus board, there may be a newer stepping by the time a board is available.
