Hi peepz!

Last saturday in Reus (Spain), the most important spaniard overclocking teams had some fun with dry ice in the first national overclocking championship, who took place in a very important Lan Party, called Reus Lan Party.

^don.k's^ and me (huge Intel fanboys ;) ) had to remember ol' times w/ A64 timings.

The CPU is a CABNE 0530 APMW (CPU did not show any coldbug. Tested @ 290*13 before :D ). Mobo was a DFI SLI DR Expert. Memories were 2x512Mb Mushkin Level II ol' BH5.

Now we are limited by the mem sticks, and looking for better ones. (and looking for some LN2 action too :D )

Here come the screenies:

And now, a funny validation @ 1.74v

Hope you like the pics :)

Congrats mates! I´m very proud of you :toast:

When Fixxxer told me the results they did on saturday i was like

SoF, yes, our next step (soon we hope) will be LN2 :D

This Fx-57 han only been tested (air & water aside) on a non-modded Vapo LS.

This is the max it did under vapo

Either way sweet chip dude, get some LN2 on her ass and show us some 4.2

Thank you all dude's, as i told to Fixxxer, we gotta try with LN2 and greater multiplier, that screen is @268 1:1 with 2x512 BH5 with it's limit @268 on pi1m with looser timmings, so in there: the ram, cooling, and maybe too much FSB was holding it... :D

I only did the 1m run, the other ones was he who did'em, i was busy with my 631 :D BTW i got that FX powned with my cheapo 631 on pi32m :p:

I hope the ln2 run to be soon and better guys, i wont be there so make me be proud of you!

Our FX-57 was benchable @ 3.92GHz.
But the DDR held it so that the SuperPi 1M took 23s.
http://images.people.overclockers.ru/59318.png
(It`s not winbond DDR - it`s TCCD @ 3.6V !!!)
But both DDR and CPU are dead now...

What brand was thoes TCCD?It`s OCZ PC4800 EL Platinum. P.S. Getting some GeilOnes (UTT BH-5) to 275MHz 2-2-2-5 (CPU @ 3.85GHz) did get SuperPi 1M @ ~21.xxx s (sorry, don`t have a screenshot :()

Hi again peeps, here my times with my 631, chipset was a bit maxed @380fsb, it was on air so i couldn't get anymore of that 631, i think it could eat a bit more of volts if the board could manage the FSB. Also i couldn't install win2003, only had xp sp2 there so maybe i could perform even more the times with win2k3 ^^

Wait a minute, you got 280 2-2-2-5 out of 2x512 TCCD?
That must be a WR.
TCCD at 3,6V? OMFG!
I'm sure you weren't really surprised the TCCD died at 3,6V were you? :)

I'm sure you weren't really surprised the TCCD died at 3,6V were you? We`ve burned 3 kits of OCZ PC4800 Platinum already before somebody said that that 3.0V+ is dangerous for it... The third one was the best. The 1st and the 2nd struggle to beat 250MHz 2-2-2-5, but we were lucky with the 3rd one. It went 320+MHz 2.5-4-3-8 Pi32M stable (3.2V), but the best thing about it was that we could launch it @ 250+MHz 2-2-2-5
Oh, by the way, 280MHz 2-2-2-5 - the subtimings were so big thats why the SuperPi result is so low...

Intel has really learned their lesson it seems.

New update!

Second time this FX57 feels the cold power of LN2 :D

http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=96035

It's just a validation. Very close to kingpin's score :p:

As you can see, we don't like excessively high multipliers...

The CPU benched at 4008MHz, w/ 16x multiplier, but when we were trying to get a cool screenshot (21.344s), the CPU rebooted the system.

New updates coming soon.

before
05-29-2006, 11:54 PM
Actually, I can have good unloading temps with my dual rotaries cascade and R290/R170... but both refrigerants aren't good at all to absorb the load: molecular mass of R290 is 44g/mol and the one of R170 is 30g/mol; while for instance the molecular mass of R404A is 98g/mol and thus very powerful to keep the CPU cold while loading.
So I can't compete for the benchies @4GHz... :p:
