OMFG this is happenning again!!!

Mods, sorry if the title is not appropriate, but this is getting on my nerves, I was so scared almost :banana::banana::banana::banana: in my pants.

Ok, I was watching some buildering videos, time then was 1:40AM PST April 10, 06.
I heard a beep from the kitchen... :confused: 2 seconds later, another beep, then I realized it's coming from the microwave oven :confused: :confused: :confused:

So, the most logic thing to do is to walk over there, which I did...

As I was approaching, another beep, and the #$^%#^ started it self, set on 35 seconds defrost frozen foods, 1lb, but there is NOTHING inside, and I didn't even touch it. :eek: O-M-F-G wtf was happening. I pressed cancel many times, it didn't stop, so I opened the door, luckily this samsung microwave had an auto shut-off, and it paused.

OMFG

I was thinking, this is the 2nd time it happened, it happed 3 days ago passed midnight while I was on the computer.

Just as I was leaving, beep, beep, beep, OMFG it turned itself on again!! This time I saw it happen:
defrost 0.5lb, wait, auto confirm, start.
Holy capacitor, I tried to press cancel, IT DIDN'T WORK, well, I opened the door again.

This time I'm smarter, I reached to the back and unplugged it.


DUDE, THIS IS SCARY, what do I do??!?!111?!!?

The only time I might have damaged the microwave oven was like 4 months ago when I was making plasma lightning inside the oven, but nothing happened till now. Non of the keys feels stuck...

The oven is less than 2 years old, only abused by me for less than one minute..
i don't see why it would break, but just in case I'll take it down to the electronic store for a diagnostic, I'm still scared lol, what if that thing is haunted, and while I'm sleeping, it plug itself in and blow up my room???

if you believe your microwave to be haunted you have more serious issues that a electronics specialist cant help you with.

whatever you did with the microwave, it probably reflected the signal in the microwave, and sent it right into the PC board.. IC's + high energy, high freqency waves = borked IC's.

I did unplug it, and no it didn't turn itself on while I'm sleeping, so I guess it's not haunted. I also left a gallon of water in there just in case it does turn itself on, lol.

that happened with my stereo a couple years back. All the led lights on the screen would flash left to right then right to left.
And I unplugged it and it still worked .
And I was so scared it took me about 2 hours to realize there was 4 d batteries in the back and that the board was cooked.

We have an 11-12 yr old Samsung microwave. Reread that, yea, old.

I accidentally stuck a spoon it once, and now it has a hole on the inside of the microwave from the electric beam. Guess what, microwave still works as good as first day.

I say you have a case of the ghosties ;)

Jk. Prolly the controller board, after a certain time something gets tripped. Replace it :)

It's definately a ghost, likely a freaking poltergeist. I advise abandoning your house with only the bare minimum of clothes and running for the hills. I have 2 alarm clocks, and one of them have 3 alarm options.
7:00, 7:10, 7:20, 8:00, without these alarm clocks I won't be able to get up in time everyday.
When the microwave oven beeped, I JUMPED UP 3 feet in the air, and RAN OUT of the door... in less than 5 seconds...

and I didn't get up in time this morning for school, missed 2 classes... rofl I don't think the teachers believe in haunted microwave oven do they?

The beeping by itself is a chronic case of samsung mwaves.

At work we get heaps of them coming in just to replace the control panel, and they keep returning lol.

We even have one of them, and it justs beeps away, and sometimes doesn't even work.

head out to a pawn shop and buy an old VHS camcorder. Buy a LP VHS tape and point it at the Microwave. You'll get 6-8 hours of recording out of one tape.

Motion camera can't pick up anything moving from within the microwave. A microwave oven is designed like a faraday cage, radio signals can't get it or get out. Try placing ur cell in a microwave (don't turn the oven on, lol), and call the cell, it shouldn't work.

It's not black, on my screen the yahoo thing preview is colorful with a haunted microwave oven in the center, but I tried viewing it myself online, black, not working.

Can't you use Windows Movie Maker to record the video? at low resolution it shouldn't take up much disk space. It will just save it to a .wmv file that you can upload.
