I havent decided whether or not to get a Variable Resistor or a Fixed Resistor to do the VDD Mod on my 8rda but I would like to know what type of variable or fixed resistor I will need. I'm leaning towards getting a Fixed resistor but am not sure of what type I will need.

I would get a 1K, 15 turn cermet trimmer, that would do you nicely :)

1k ohm resistor = 1.75v-1.80v = 200fsb dual channel ddr / 210fsb single channel ddr
820 ohm resistor = 1.80-1.85v = 210fsb dual channel ddr / 220fsb single channel ddr
680 ohm resistor =1.85-1.90v = 220fsb dual channel ddr / 230fsb single channel ddr
