7800 gtx low results ?? :(

Hi all ...

i have asus 7800 gtx ... and its stable @ 500/1400 with no artifact ... but 9164 3dmark05 marks is too low :( 3dmark06 is 5012 ... :( how can i increase the score ? or its normal ???

Is windows stripped? Have you disabled AA/AF? Is graphics quality set to "high Performance"?

I`m guessing your CPU and RAM are set up good. :)

3dmark 05 is CPU dependant as much as GPU power.

Also, try and avoid the cpu tests by pressing escpae when 1st CPU test is loading - this will give you a better score ;)

What clocks are you running on the CPU?

there is nothing wrong with your 05 for the clocks you are running

if any thing it is good

and a fine starting point from which to begin the climb to 10k

if ur X2 3800 is stil running stock 2Ghz its the CPU holding the 7800 back.

noticed it on my 7800GT and opteron 144.
a 7800gtx at them clocks is held back by a 2Ghz 3800+.
Dunno by how much tho.

Cpu holds Back Until 2.4ghz. Atleast with my opty 165 and 7800gt.

after 2.4 point increases are very small

seems perfectly fine

my gtx at 499/1360 scored about 8900 or so w/ my cpu at 2.6....tho i now am running at stock because of my damn ballistix crapping out:mad: :mad: :mad:
anyways, back on topic, ur score is in no way low, its pretty regular for a card at those speeds

Ya, I thought that most 256MB 7800GTX's scored right around that 9K area. What cooling are you using BTW ?
