Is it possible to flash the bios from a CD? If it is, how is it done?

Yes, you have to format the CD with a boot sector on it. You can do that in nero.

or use win98 cd, choose "boot pc with cdrom support", then insert cd containing awdflash.exe and .bin file, .bin is your new bios file.

Isn't that a bad idea? It loads all sorts of extra memory management and ramdrives and stuff... I was under the impression that doing that was a poor idea...

why is that? i always to that since, i don't trust floppy drive/disk. who cares about mem management and other stuff, it's never being used anyway,lol.
