Well eventually running at last.

Being running now for an hoour or so, and found the prommy s saying -42 - -44, whilst cpu is saying -20 in windows.

How can i improve the cooling of the cpu this doesnt seem that brillaint tbh.

Ive seen somewhere they have sanded the copper conductor plate using wet n dry i think sand paper.

Any more ideas.

Cheers

Idel thats what so worrying. ran hot cup for under 2mins and it'd broken 0.

Contact cant as been as good as i 1st assumed. Checked the gasket no signs of leakage or pressure.

Sounds as if you are having bad contact between the evaporator and CPU die/heatspreader.

yeah if your evap temps is in the -40's while connected to your cpu.. something is up... my goes down to -35 and below when connected...

this drop in evap temp shows that there is a good conectiion

Just booted this morning and its running -23, a little better just wonder if it needs a good run it.

Gonna shine up the contact part anyway next time i take the head off.

Ive seen a guide how to do this, but lost the URL.

Ok, I am currently running @ Evap -31, CPU ?(suspected -12, MBM5 dont work with P4t533), however if I switch it all off and let it cool down overnight, for the first 15-30 mins it shows -41 to -38 100% loaded, I presume it heating the oil ?
Anway, temps do creep down after 30 mins or so

Looking on abit site the motherboard might have temperature reading errors. I hope.

Ive overclocked to 170fsb, seems to be stable lasted 10mins @ 175.

Still temps reading -37 on the prommie. hopefully my boards wrong and ive got a good seal.

just as an update

170fsb.
2,2,2,5 Timings.
1:1 ratio cpu to ram.

Your temps seem pretty normal to me (for a p4)
...I have had a p4 2.66 in mine, and at the bus speed you have, with minimal voltage increase, the prom will show temps ~ -35C under load on the chillcontrol.

Slap an XP in there and the temps will warm considerably. Mine will idle at -31 if I bump the voltage up to 2.05. Under load the chill control will warm to -27c. More voltage =warmer temps.
