Hey guys,

Does anybody here on this forum own this combo of a Sempron64 2800+ and an Asus K8N ?

In the BIOS for this motherboard, it only allows Vcore adjustments for CPU's with Cool and Quiet...and the S64 2800+ Does not have Cool and Quiet...

Is there any way round this?

I wonder if there are any modded BIOS' that have this cracked...i did a search but couldnt seem to find anything...

Anybody got any ideas of a way to raise my voltage somehow?

2.4GHz on stock volts is pretty good...i wanna see how high i can get this beast...

Here is what i got so far on the board:

You can always resort to a hardware mod. Pin mods are the easiest

My friend has the same problem,

I,m going to voltmod his board this weekend, but also the limited fsb (300) for 24/7 clocks isn,t nice will have to use a older version of clockgen to apply clocks at windows startup :(

Looks like 4 days ago, my PSU has shocked my mobo and its fried now...story cut short of course...i dont feel like typing it all out. So i'm RMA'n the board (Asus K8N)

How risky is a volt mod? What is involved? Soldiering or conductive ink? or simply a pencil and tape?
