Anyone know anywhere I can get info on volt modding my Enermax 550w?

I'm looking to do a 3.3v and 5v mod.

I noticed your sig, how did you get 1.8v on an xp1700 TBred B with the msi 745, did you V pin the cpu? My bios only goes up to 1.7v with that chip, and it undervolts, so like 1.65v actual :(

I did a VCore mod on the 745 Ultra to get 0.15 to 0.175 more volts than what's set in the BIOS.

I HAD TO mod mine after all that reading. I left it off for about 6 hours and used a milti-meter to make sure I wasn't going to get deadly. Took about 20 minutes in all.

This is some info I got for the Enrmax 350W PSU. I am led to believe the same can be done to the 550W.
You decide at your own risk, but I can confirm it works on the 350W PSU:

Enermax_5v_mod_instructions

read ALL of my instructions first, so you know what to expect.
turn off your computer and take out your Enermax power supply, making sure to
disconnect the AC input (the power cord).
open up your Enermax power supply by removing the 4 screws in the cover.
before continuing, make sure the capacitors have been discharged. to do this,
either wait a while for them to discharge on their own,
or discharge them with an insulated screwdriver.

CAUTION: if you don't know what I am talking about, or what you are doing,
please STOP RIGHT NOW!, as serious injury, up to and including death could
occur. (power supply mods aren't for wimps, ya know...)

remove the 4 pcb screws at the corners in order to be able to get to the
underside of the pcb.

find resistor # 82.

In my Enermax EG365P-VE 350 watt power supply, R82 is
located on the pcb just in front of the outlet fan (8x8 cm), with "R82"
printed to the board next to the resistor. the resistor has a value of 7.15K
Ohm .

desolder the R82 resistor from pcb and replace with 7.5k resistor.

note: monitor your +12v readings too,
as adjusting your +5v line directly affects your +12v line as well.

Results:

Since I added the resistor. The +5 volt supply now averages
4.85v under full load, normal load 4.98v ....

Before the mod it averaged about 4.70v under load, normal load was 4.88v

ps. 12v line is now 12.4v .. before mod it was 11.95v.

Hope this will help some overclocking fans with Enermax PSU's ...

Isn't there a mod where you can just use a variable resistor so both the 5V and 12V can go even higher (thinking about 5.5V and 13V)

Any trick for upping the 3.3V also? (if possible inside the psu, and not on the outside like most of them and preferably also with a variable resistor)

If there is m8, I havn't heard of it. The info I posted here about the 350W PSU Mod is something I picked up off the Web nearly 2 years ago, so It's old news really. I backed up the Info file as I thought it was a Gem of a Mod for O/C'ing on Enermax PSU's.
