Had very good luck with 3 different sets of the Gskill LE, was more than pleased with each pair, that's my reasoning behind sticking with Gskill.
Needed a 2gig set of ram for a rig I'm putting together. Spent some time reading here at XS on Gskill's offerings. Picked the HZ because they seem to do well on low voltage, and average overclocks seem to be in the 260 to 270 range which would fit the bill for my new rig. So I ordered a set from New Egg last week.
Don't know how others do their testing but on dual channel sets I always label each and then test them individually at SPD timings to see what I have to work with.

The test setup
DFI Ultra-D r.ABO with the 1114 Official DFI BIOS
3800X2 {280x10 1.45v Dual Prime stable 4hours+}
PCP&P 510 SLI
BIOS Settings
Vdimm= 2.5v + .3
Dram Freq=200
CPC=Auto
tCL=3
tRCD=4
tRAS=8
tRP=4
All other mem timings set to AUTO with the exception of DRAM response time which was left at NORMAL

The test
mem test built into the DFI BIOS, 2 loops each of test #5 and test #8

Stick #1=
292Mhz last place that test-5 and 8 pass with out errs
{as you might imagine I'm quite ecstatic at this point, much higher clocks than I could ever hope for}

Stick #2
253Mhz last place that test-5 and 8 pass with out errs
{I'm sorta depressed at this point}

Seeing as how well SPD settings and voltages worked on Stick-1 it kinda hit me that even with tweaking the timings and upping the voltage Stick-2 wasn't ever going to keep up with stick-1. Needless to say I read up and tried different tREF and DDS and DDDS and up to 2.76v on Stick-2 but ever thing I've tried shoots hundreds of errs in test-5 and test-8 at 254 and up.

In windows isnt much different with the sucky Stick-2 in the orange slot nearest the CPU prime blend errs out at any thing after 256Mhz 1:1

Thanks for taking the time and reading my saga, pretty sure their isn't any thing you can do to remedy my delima because the one stick does at least do it's rated speeds. Is their anyway I can buy a single stick of HZ that way perhaps {with any luck} I can get a more evenly matched pair?

You know I didnt think to look at the Egg for a single. Looking now though at the single price OUCH! :) Thanks for you help.
