I bought a 20" 2005fpw dell monitor, it has composite and S-video input.

I want to hook a ps2 and a xbox to it. What is the solution to get a good picture quality? At least as good as on tv?

Can you tell me how to do it?
Is it worth the $20 to get a svideo cable over the composite?

You could always just buy a 3rd party VGA cable for the xbox.

I would try to get the Xbox and PS2 to Component, because it looks much better than Composite and S-video

Buy a component cable for your PS2 and Xbox, and buy a HDTV-in converter for your video card, or do a Component / VGA mod.
Link for mod:

You could also simply buy a Xbox to VGA cable, but I would recommend running it through the video card, so you can finlter the image and convert it digitally so it can be sent properly to a LCD.
LCDs run better with a digital signal from a DVi cable, than a analog signal from a VGA conector

With a ATi card, for example, you can do this method if your card has VIVO or AVIVO. Use DScaler instead of Multymedia Center. Ive played Xbox through my x850xt, and it's much smoother and crisper with DScaler.

this is all you need.
Component video in X 3... 1 VGA out.

so you can hook your PS2 and Xbox to this Via Componenet cables.
then hook this box to your VGA connection on the 2005 FPW.
then you can have both running nice and high quality, nice and easy and affordable... and have one more input for one more componenet video item to spare:)

The computer i'm using with it is a mac mini, so i can't do anything with the vid card.
Kunaak thanks for the link but I don't think they ship to europe (need to check). I was trying to see if there was a cheap option. I guess i'll leave it on the TV
