I've been trying to overclock my processor and i think my ram is holding me back. Can anyone give me some settings i could try that would not overclock my processor but run my ram at its 500 ddr rating to see if its my ram and not another component of my computer? I tried setting the CPU frequency to 200 x 9 and running a 250 mhz divider but it runs my memory at 225 instead of 250. Pleeease help i've tried everything. I need to know soon if i have to RMA this ram

please try 250x8 (2GHz CPU, your CPU won't have trouble with this)

ratio 200MHz 1/1

Hello Taco,

I have the same MOBO and RAM as you. I just got both of them brand new from newegg within the past 2 weeks.

Check this thread
Biostar T-Force 6100-939 mobo? (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=95755)

Updated links (yours didn't appear to work for me)
G.skill PC4000 Memory (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231021)
Biostar T-Force 6100-939 Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813138264)

One more thing Taco.. does your BIOS have the Chipset voltage option like they show in our OC handbook?? The option is in the BIOS photos in the handbook, right under the CPU voltage and above the Memory voltage, but is not in my BIOS at all. Supposed to be the "NB/SB Voltage Regulator". Too bad too, cuz I wanted control of my Chipset Voltage too. :(

Anyone know someone who does BIOS mods for this MOBO?? Maybe I'll have to do some research on BIOS modifications.

thanks for the responses, but I alrdy rmaed the ram and the mobo(because of a seperate issue with the onboard internet problems), now I have a new kit of the ram, and a DFI Infinity RS482 motherboard, and I think the motherboard is picky about ram. The RS482 works with optimized defualts loaded(everything auto), but when i try to change anything or overclock at all it has this random restart problem where it runs between anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, and restarts with no bsod or error msg, or anything in the event manager. Except, just about an hour ago, i set the 2/1 divider to try and put the ram out of the question, and I got an error in windows that said that the problem was probably caused by my ram. Thats what made me think its a ram/mobo thing.
What would be the best timings/settings in bios for this mobo(DFI Infinity RS482)?
