I"m going to do the Raddy Vmem mod (changing the Vdd - nominal inner circuit voltage). I have a 20K trimpot here ready to go (set at 19.5K for start). Xbitlab's guide uses a 2.7Kohm resistors for 3.3V from stock 2.92. What's the max volt (safe) I should use ? What are you using ?

Thanks :)

Niko if im reading the right volts, my mem is only at 2.79, so is mine a little low or am I reading wrong spot?

Cheers

If you are talking VDD using the Intersil 6522 chip pin 5 to pin 7 mod then 10k ohm would equal about 3.00v if it was 2.93v to start with. 6k ohm would about 3.125v same situation. Obvisiouly the higher you run it out of spec which is supposed to 2.8v the shorter the life span. But if you can keep the ddr cool ie by supplying it with excellent dedicated power from psu preferably 5.20v and 12.3v and also ramsinks you should be fine running it at 3.00v for the next few years imo. 3.025 is excellent for 24/7 use i've found btw.

Er yes i believe you were readign the wrong voltage. Looks like you snagged VDDQ and not VDD. BTW bump that VDDQ up to 2.85 or so for 24/7 use also.

How do you check the VDDQ voltage????? What does it start with????? I want to up it to 2.85v???

Thanks for any help

As CCC posted above

Radeon 9700 Pro.
I've done all 3 vmods, I have mem at 3.05, vcore at 1.80, I have fitted a 10kohm vr on the vddq (under the heatplate) but need to know how/where to measure it and what voltages to go to.

The Gpu is watercooled and the mem has Tweakmonster ramsinks.

Cheers

OH BTW is there anyway to get Rage3D Tweak to go past 420 mhz ?

Which intersil chip? My board has 3 of them.
