OK im wondering what should my Psu Be sending out 3v and 5v and 12v wise?

As of Now im getting

12.40 on the 12v

and

4.92 on the 5v

and

3.25 on the 3.3v

Are these Low?

they look fine to me. usually if you are within 5% everything should be fine.

I second felix. + or - 5 percent is a good rule of thumb although i sorta feel better if the 5 volt on a amd is even slightly higher. Maybe 4.8 or so minimum. But you rarely have probs as long as it doesn't dip below 4.75 and thats the 5 percent magic number.

Be sure and watch not what it idles at but what it holds steady at when under stress. I really want one that does not fluctuate much from the idle to full load voltages. that indicates the voltage regulation is doing good. When you idle at 4.95 and it drops to 4.77 under load I start worrying anyway. Or when you bench test drives or anything else that stresses the psu and you see a bug drop even if it stays with the 5 percent.

Run MBM with 5% tolerances and alarm on while benching with 3Dmark and that will give you a good idea if you have any problems with low (or high) voltages under load.

heh, i get worried when my rails go from 5.00v to 4.98v. then again, when i measured them using a DMM, they were about .15v higher than what my monitoring software reports.

Well I just hooked all my devices (Expect 1 HD) up told Mobo Monitor 5 2 beep at me if the lines go out of the 5% spec.. And Bam *Beep* *Beep*

SO i guess im over taxing somthing.. Vantec 520 Ps Ne good Or should i just git a TTGI 520?

I swaer by these things called Robaton's. You can get a 600 watt on ebay for 35 bucks and 15 to ship it.

DC OUTPUT +3.3V +5V +12V -5V -12V +5Vsb Total
40A 50A 16A 0.3A 0.5A 2.0A 600W

Not many can do 40 amps on the 3 volt.
