I saw these pictures of this chieftec case (http://www.chieftec.com/products/Workcolor/BA-01.htm), but I cant find anywhere to purchase it from, can anyone help me? I love that it has tons of room :D It'd be perfect to put my next setup in.:toast:

Is that a 140mm vent up top?

from their site, it only says "Optional 2 X 120 mm + 5 x 90 mm fans", so I dont think so, but it looks like you could fit one in there :p:

edit: more pics of it here

Yeah I didn't think about putting it there, and it'd fit quite nicely right there. First, I gotta find a place that sells it :woot:

Well, if you gave an indication of what country youre in, that might help :)

Still puzzled by the top grill, irking me that i cant tell whether its 120 or 140...

I own one 100% like that in the picture (Chieftec sells a lot of models of the same look, just with different front panels). It's huge and super heavy, made out of solid steel, spaces for 2x120mm fans on the rear, 3x92 on the right panel in front of the HDD's, 2x92 on the left panel.

I second the op's request...Chieftec cases (especially the older, bigger ones) have been a real pain to find at a reasonable price in the US

tons of them (literally) in EU:

IMO it could do with one less 5 inch drive bay, still retaining the 120mm fan.

Another option would be to remove the fron drive bays and put them above the PSU. this would be a problem for some systems as the SATA cables might be too short.

lol sorry, I live in the US

and about that fan, its 120, but there's enough space there to put a 140..

530x205x650 mm (DxWXH), taken from their website, so its 205mm wide

There are lot's of places that sell Chieftec cases in europe, but for US I don't know :( I wouldn't remove the hd cage because you can mount the radiator to the top of the case.

Ive never liked top-mounts myself. And i generally prefer to put HDs in 5.25 bays anyway, so i can use vibration-deadening mounts, and whatnot. So basically the lower HD mounts are useless to me... anyway, im happy with my stacker, but that looks like a decent case, even though the space up top could be utilized better.

Id quite fancy putting a 140mm Yate up in the back for the hell of it :)

Yeah, there's a few options about where to put the rad and what not, but if I can't find it here in the US, I may just end up going with the stacker.

Looks like a great case for watercooling, lots of options there. I'd be more inclined to mod the top & put in a tripple core. You could put a 120mm fan in the back to feed cool air to yur rad...

I changed my mind and decided to bite the bullet and get Lian Li PC-G70 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811112105) in black. From the specs, 23.4" x 8.3" x 23.2" (D x W x H), it'll easily fit a pa120.3 up top, with the psu and a pump in the bottom (minus the bottom HD cage cuz I only have 1 HD). With the PSU in the bottom, I can put some kinda fan where that top psu hole is to feed the rad cool air. This leads me to another question, given this case (lian li pc-g70) and rad (pa120.3 with 3 x san aces), along with a storm rev2 and mp-1 and a t-line, which pump would be best suited, the 50z or would i need something with a bit more kick like the Iwaki MD20RLZ?

50Z or 2x 50Z (better than a iwaki). If ou can run them @ 13.8v you get cathars "perfect pump".

What about running just 1 pump? Is the 50z more then adequate?

creidiki

You cant really do better, as far as 12v pumps go. If you run it @ 13.8v especially so.

:D  Alright then, the 50z it is and thanks so much for everyone's help :toast:
