Hey all,

its been a while but i tried to install windows (XP Pro SP2) on my Raptor.. but it kept giving me a BSOD.... finally after like 2 hrs of Overclocking and tinkering i just quit it and installed the OS back on my IDE 250gig.. well im running low on storage so i want to get XP on the Raptor.(which is only used for games) is there anything i should know about installing it on an Nforce4 board? do i have to mash F6 to install the RAID drivers i didnt think i should have to but after it not working im not sure..

let me know.. thanks.

yes i always recommend doing the RAID install w/ F6, it just makes sure all the things are worked out, even if your only running one drive.

if you don't have a floppy drive, go to compusa and buy a cheap floppy drive for $5

I dont see why he has to use a floppy drive to install on his raptor, but I have yet to install an OS on a sata drive. Only things I can think of:
1) Check if the sata ports on the motherboard are locked or unlocked
2) Are you using the 1st port?

Yes they are locked. and Yes im using SATA0... it is also SATA 150 not 300 not that it should make a difference
