Hi all :) ,
I have buy 4 banks gskill 512MB at 667Mhz
(F2-5400PHU1-512NT)
http://www.gskill.com/f2-5400phu1-nt.html
My system is:
Pentium4 (640) at 3.20GHz with 2MB L2 cache and FSB at 800Mhz
Mainboard Gigabyte 8I955X Royal (I have upgrade the bios at the newest version)
http://www.giga-byte.com/MotherBoard/Products/Products_Spec_GA-8I955X%20Royal.htm
My problem is that when i test the rams with CPUZ or rightmark memory analyze or SiSoft Sandra the ram is recognize like:
"PC-4300 DDR2 at 533Mhz"
The SPD readed by the mainboard is 533Mhz :(
I have setted manualy the "System memory multiplier" to 3.33 and now the ram goes to 667Mhz but:
Why the test give me that the ram is PC-4300 DDR2 at 533Mhz produced at 25 December 1999  ?
At the bank compare the label: "F2-5400PHU1-512NT"
Gskill has recycled the old 4300 to the newest 5400? :slapass: ??
It's incredible...:nono:

Sorry for my :banana::banana::banana::banana: english
Thanks for the answers
Bye

i don't think 12/1999 has DDR2 already XD

there must be something wrong during SPD write-in
as long as stickers show 667 and you can run as spec everthing is good
if it is bad, me or Gskill Europe are happy to do the replacement for you or
