I'm getting pretty sick of the Logitech Elites I've been using for the past two years or so. After a while the keys become harder and harder to press down, making it difficult to type. What keyboards are you using and which ones would you recommend? I've heard about this keyboard, (http://www.xoxide.com/das-keyboard.html) but with no writing on the keys...thats just weird. I could type blind, but the other function keys could be confusing...I guess it would just take getting used to. Wired keyboards are preferable to wireless ones, but I'm not ruling out wireless.

Couple of questions,
do you like the feel of a laptop keyboard? (Soft ect)
do you like split keyboards or not?
Do you like a flat keyboard or a slightly upward keyboard?

If you want softer, you gotta get this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16823155016)

Cheaper buget, get this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16823155003)

Do you like the feel of a laptop keyboard? (Soft ect) : Yes
Do you like split keyboards or not? : No
Do you like a flat keyboard or a slightly upward keyboard ? : Slightly tilted upward

The first one looks pretty nice (especially the alluminum keys), but I'll wait for some more opinions :). Come to think of it...a laptop style keyboard would probably suit me the best since I like keyboards with smaller spaces between keys, and laptop keys are quiet and require little effort to press.

The logitech ultra x flat. The keys are great and it's also sweet design on it.

Thanks for the suggestions and welcome to xtreme c.freak!:welcome:

The G15 is a bit pricey and large, and I also dislike the ergonomics of the ms natural. The ultra-x has the laptop style I prefer, but it felt a bit cheap in the past when I've used it. Therefore, the aforementioned Kensingtion seems to be my best option at the moment. It's like the ultra-x, but it has alluminum keys so it won't feel as cheaply made. I'm still open to other suggestions however :). Thanks for all the input so far...

Saitek makes the best keyboard ive ever used, those G15's seem like crap to me two of my friends bought them, played for about a month, WASD keys have now both failed/worn out. Not what i call quality.

Yea...the reviews at newegg of the G15 talked about how the WSAD keys wore out. Do you have a link to the Saitek keyboard?

I've been using the Kinesis Classic (http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/classic.htm) for about 4 years. When I switched over from the MS Natural keyboards, I was showing signs of RSI, but I can type all day on one of these and not show any symptoms:

How are the keys on the saitek? Are they easy to press like a laptop or are they more like other desktop keyboards?

I find them quite smooth and easy to press. Also very quiet.

For actual long work I use nothing but KeyTronic E036s (the standard AT KeyTronic).

When space-challenged I use the small Cherry ML4100 keyboards.

To impress the chicks I have two of these:

I have a zBoard for my PC and a Adesso natural on the mac. The zBoard is great for what it is designed for but I have wide shoulders and it just kills me to type on it. The adesso is ok for typing just like a microsoft natural but a little less pitch to it.
