This is for G.S Technician..i've tried to overclock my ram G.skill DDR 500 HZ 2GB kit and the max i could get out of them on your recommended timings in bios is 265MhzX11 stable. I tried running a divider but the system won't boot!! I've tried dividers with various multipliers but for some reason this kit only prefer 1:1 timing. Also i can't get beyond 270Mhz stable on other multipliers..i've tried 8,9 and 10...can't get past 270x10 with 2T timings. Can you recommend some tweaks or settings i should change!! I looked up your thread for the recommended timings on these sticks and that's what i've been using!!

Yea i've tried pretty much everything that i can do with timings ... i've even looked up the DFI-street forums for it and got the whole overclockin guide and everything but for some reason this CPU won't budge from that mhz

that's what i'm trying to figure out!! Is it the ram or the CPU that is the bottleneck? Hopefully i guess it's the CPU cuz this ram seems flawless and does 280 at 2T timings prime stable so i can't fault the ram much... but my CPU is CACJE 0546PBW Opteron 148.

Like all ram on the market, some batches are more equal than others :D

My HZ has no trouble running as per my sig and up to 290MHz 1T 3, 4, 4, 7 :woot:
