What are some stable timings to use with this kit of memory? They don't have to be the most aggressive... just stable. I can not get this memory to run in my Abit KN8 Ultra without random restarts/BSOD's. Only trying to run the memory at 278.

No problem...

Tcl
Trc
Trfc
Tras
Trcd
Trrd
Twr
Twtr
Trtw

Command Rate
Read Preamble
Bank Interleaving
Burst Length
Drive Strength
R/W Queue Bypass Counter
Bypass Max
Idle Cycle Limit
MTRR Mapping
32bit DRAM hole

The board does not have adjustable Tref... I have been suspecting this might be the problem? A64 Tweaker detects Tref as 200MHz 3.6us when I am running the ram 1:1 @ 278.

Tcl = auto
Trc = 7~9
Trfc =13~18
Tras = 7
Trcd = 4
Trrd = 2
Twr = auto
Twtr = 1~2
Trtw = 2~3

Command Rate = 1T
Read Preamble = auto
Bank Interleaving = enable
Burst Length = auto
Drive Strength = auto
R/W Queue Bypass Counter = auto
Bypass Max = auto
Idle Cycle Limit = 256
MTRR Mapping = disable
32bit DRAM hole = auto

some of then i am not sure, i suggest you set at auto and see how is it!

Seems to work. No problems yet. The real test starts tonight when I turn Rosetta@Home back on.

I set the Idle Cycle Limit to 256 in the BIOS, but it detects as 16 in CPUZ and A64 Tweaker :shrug:

Thanks again for your help. :toast:

Looks like my system restarted 3 times during the night running Rosetta. Still have some work to do.... :(

Don't know what else it could be? CPU is running at 2.5GHz as it has without problems for 9 months. HTT is down to 278 now from 313 where it was stable for 2 months that I have had this Abit.

What voltage would you suggest for 278MHz? I was running 2.7V.

i think 2.7v is good. humm
try something like 3D test...
run the Rosetta and see how long will it takes to crash
