I just dl and flashed Tonys BIOS, something like 702-BTa, I think.
Im wondering if this BIOS is known to work well with UCCC and if so, what are the best settings?

Alright, thank you for the settings.
But is this BIOS known to work well or OK with these sticks or should I go with the 6xx BIOS?

Hey GS, when you get a chance can you wonder over to my other post and see if you can give me some help.

GS, just to clarify, does one of theses BOIS's work better with HZ's than the other in your opinion?

I'm on 6/23-3 and wonder if it would be worth my while to try 702-bta?

GSKILL TECH

6/23-3 is good. 702-bta is bit better
but i like 702-1 the best :)

So heres an update.
GS, I set the settings that you told me to use, put them at 250, and rebooted to Memtest.
I had like 118 errors in under 5 mins. and Im pretty sure they all came at once.
The voltage is 2.6 selected under BIOS.
Am I doing something wrong?
May I have to do an RMA?

u using the same timing i stated at top?

does it load into windows?

No, it will not load into Windows.
I just ran Memtest at 245 and it passed for over 2hrs at the same settings, just 245 instead of 250.
Should I try and up the volts or what?

orange slot? yellow?
orange is the correct slot!

also HTT lower to X3 or X4?

They have been in the orange slot the whole time.
And yes I lowered the HTT multi to 3x just to make sure, that was one of the first things I did.
The CPU shouldnt affect how the RAM runs in Memtest under the BIOS should it?
Cause thats the only other thing I can think of that would cause this other than the sticks are just bad.
Im going to try the yellow slots even though you say orange just to see if it helps at all.

EDIT
Ok, so yellow slots dont work either.
Im getting really tired of this, Ive tried 3 BIOS and nothing seems to work.
I think tommrow Im going to call G Skill and see if they cant help me or just get me started on an RMA.

I can try, but I dont have a camera at the moment so Ill have to try and get ahold of one.
Is there any other settings I can change that may help?
Ones that are non memory related?

if i can see the bios of your setting is easyer to help
becasue every mobo is different...... i am not the expert with everything. i need to see it and give suggestion :)

Ok, so I have the settings you told me to use set to a T, expect that Im at stock speed instead of 250.
The weird thing is, now when I use your settings I cant even get past the CMOS check at stock speeds.
Have I done something my mobo, cause they use to be able to get into Windows at those timings at stock speed.
As of right now, I loaded the optimized defaults at stock speed and got into Windows fine.
So I guess it is the timings that you gave me that dont like my mobo.
Any suggestions for changes?
I tried the drive strengths, data drive strengths, 1T and 2T, tras, interleave, damn near everything and it still wouldnt budge at stock, please help.

LDT speed remember change to 3X or 4X

other looks good to me

using my timeing for DDR400 it will not boot becasue the MAL is too high, need to lower to 7 to boot at DDR400

Ok, Im up and running very good right now.
Im stable at 260x10 Prime and 3D stable at stock volts.
Now Im trying to get to 270x10.
Ive upped the volts to 2.6+.02 and 1.425x104% and tried to use the timings you gave soembody for 300 and they havent helped.
So do you think I need more volts or do you have any other timings suggestions?
Thanks in advance, youve helped me greatly thus far.

Haha, everything is fine.
But Im completely stable at 260x10, 3d stable at 265x10 but not Prime Stable, and can get into Windows at 270x10 but no benchmarks.
So what Im asking is, if you have any suggestions, timing or voltage wise, to get completely stable at 265 or even better 270?

TRC: 7 -> try 11
TRFC: 13~18 -> try 14
TRRD: 2

TWTR: 1~2
TRWT: 2~3 -> try 4
TREF: 3684

well those seting "might" give you some more head room but you lost performance also....

Its not too big a deal for me, performance wise, I like the raw numbers:)
Ill try them and get back to you.
I have a 0602 set, so Im hoping I can get to 270.

visceral

Did you ever get to a stable 270? I'm having the same problem, I'm stuck at 260 and tried both list of settings from this thread, I still fail memtest even thought I can boot windows..

filmbot
03-28-2006, 09:28 AM
Sadly, no I havent.
Im working at trying to get them completely stable at 265.
Theyll do 3D but cant pass Prime or Super PI 32M.
Ive tried settings from other people posts with these sticks and nothings worked.
At the moment Im benching every single change I make to see which ones will give me more stablility.
Ill report back in a couple of days.

filmbot
03-29-2006, 12:33 PM
Im still not completely stable at 265.
I probably could do 32M and 3D benching, but Prime wont go past 2hrs. at any settings.
Im going to just do some benching as high as I can go but then just keep it at 260 for 24/7 use.
My next obstacle is to get to 3ghz at 250x12 for 24/7 use, but I think Ill probably have to settle for 2.8 by means of 260x11.
