I'm sorry to be troubling you again.
Originally got my La in June last year
ran on my 3200 754 @270x9 1:1 - 1 module went bad & rma end of August (thnx Onepagebook):) )
Upgraded to 939 & 3500+ winnie. max clock @245x11 270x9 or anything higher no go. not great but put it down 2 winnie. Memtest passes 100% BSOD into xp.
Got Opteron 148 december runs great with divider 9:10 264~268x11 will even go to 273 (not prime stable) this is @ 2,3,3,5 1T 2.85~2.9v
However i now can't run at 2.5 1:1 & get memtest #7 errors even at 240x11
which is hardly challenging.
Am aware of max Asynch/Read preamble needeing to be tweaked for opteron. Best result i've had so far is an overnight run last night results :-
Errors test 7 - oass 2 Bit 2 Count=14 ran about 9hrs

Edit:
Just 4 fun have cleared cmos - loaded optimised defaults - saved & exited. Checking that DMI was updated.
on default tiings 2.5,4,4,8 won't boot to xp
But changing 2.5-->2.0 loads perfectly.
bottom line seems I am having serious trouble now getting 2.5.
