Hi guys, got my MP-1,

Bit confused there are 2x plastic spacers and 2x plastic spaces (half of spacer big, other half small)

And ofcourse the bracket and wingnut.

This is for an ATI X850XT

Cheers!

Well, I have the X1800XT, but for the x850xt I imagine the mounting method is the same, even though you use the other mounting hardware. I put it down with card -> plastic spacer -> Spring -> spacer (half big half small one) -> metal AquaXtreme plate -> Thumbscrews

I figured I had to do it this way because of the stainless steel plate. Mine uses the same hardware as the 6800/7800 series cards, but the method is the same. And what sucks is that the MP-1 mounting hardware for the X1800 doesn't have thumbscrews but little nuts. A little disappointing since I know they can be had, the maze 4 I used to have that I sold with the 7800GTX had thumbscrews for the same hardware.

Did you get all this hardware with your mp-1? If so, you should have a set of 4 springs, use 2 of them.
