I've got one Opteron 170 today at last and started to bench it right away. The first test were super pi
Test System :
DFI SLI-DR EXPERT
OPTERON 170
VAPOCHILL LS
2x512 MB GEIL ONE WINBOND
3004mhz dual 1m

Looks good so far. Dinos is right, either SG or MBM5 so we can see the temps and volts. Now that you've done the baby steps, let's see some dual prime at 3200 and see how the vapo holds up.

The last four numbers are 0186. I am trying to find the benchable speed of this chip and then later I'll do some prime tests too. About the MBM5 you are right and I included it in this SS.

Nice to open up these threads that just list a stepping and not see people asking us to crystal ball there cpu.

Actually superpi 1M says he can run superpi 1M at that speed. Are comments like this really necessary?

Friends, as I said I will show prime results too but right now I try to find the maximum benchable speed of the cpu. And right now it's 3307 mhz 1m.

About the MBM5 showing 3256 mhz I really don't know why it did that. Perhaps it's a bug or something.

Very nice. Hope your Vapo can handle the load generated by dual prime @ 1.6v!

It's difficult to bench dual prime at 3300 mhz@1.60 volts. But I think I can do it around 3200 mhz @ 1.55 volts

That looks like a chip that could maybe do 3 GHz on good air!

hardly, i had 3 UPMW's and i have high end end WC, and none could past 2.9Ghz..but if you can get VPMW, then its possible :fact:
