ok guys whatcha got?

I live in the desert so cooling is a HUGE issue for me...

I was suckered into the swiftech craze anf got me a MCX462a HSF
with a 80mm 68cfm Delta blowing hard on it....

my room temps get into the high 80's / low 90's
MBM5 reports my cpu is running after 2+weeks of full load while folding and SETI (since creating the team) with a temp of 45C - never higher but sometimes lower.

How does this fair against your temps?

I've hit 41c one or twice, but never 42 yet. That's ambient with the a/c off.

Ok,

My new system I built, specs:

KK266-r
1800+ default speed
2x256mb of pc100/pc133 (pc100 does 150fsb :) )
30g WD 5400rpm HD
Sony floppy and 52x CDROM drives
Aopen case with 250w PSU (no case fans)

Cooling:
Global Win FOP32

temps with ambient being 76f are at 49c full load with 'CPU stability test'

At a ambient temp of 63f I get low 40c's usually 42-3c

note this rig has sides on!

EDIT: I just remembered this is new 'folding' rig #1!

I live in the mojave desert and I have a swamp cooler. I have my 1.6a@2.2 running at around 29 to 35 during idle depending on what time of day it is. It's never got above 42 at full load. It usually stays at around 40 at full load. I bought an Arkua 8568 HSF for it. It was like 17 dollars I think and was pleasantly surprised with its performance. I use MBM5 to check temps.

I just built a new AMD XP1800+ retail on an a7v333 mb. I put the stock HSF on it and nearly had a heart attack when it climbed to 61 full load. I have to use probe to monitor the temp since MBM5 does not detect anything on the mb. Being in the desert it kinda makes me mad that AMD has such a crappy HSF for their retail chips. I put a YS tech 60mm fan on it and the full load dropped to 57 but still too high IMO. I put a coolermaster HSF on it but it did no better. I guess I will put an ax-7 on it that I have laying around with a 50 CFM Sunon fan.

XP 2000+ @ 1.83GHz maxed at 51c with AOC CUD-915 and ambient room temp of about 30c. This is internal diode reading on 8K3A+ after about an hour of SOF2.

room temp 23c (a/c set on 73)

I'm cheating a little, I've got the a/c duct for my office directed into the case.:p
