Basically its a 1.6L (b16a2) stroked to 1.8L in a Civic with full interior. Naturally aspirated of course. It ran a 12.8 on street tires.

That's isn't possible for a stock Z28,

that was km/h not mph, if that was mph then it would be running alot lower than 12's, and no street civic could hit 200+ mph that fast anyway

With a setup like that.... why in the hell do you run the strip, that would make a better track (road course) than a strip car.. :(

I'm sorry but being an F-Body owner I have to argue this. Your stock LT1 runs high 13s to low 14s. They get owned all day by LS1's and even they don't do that stock.

Now if you want to talk stock "motor" then that's another story. My stock motor TA is going to be running those kinds of times soon. There is a lot more to going fast than just the engine

in your dreams your stock z28 can run 12.5 stock..oh your car cost a fraction of the price because those cars cant hold their resell value very well.

nice civic there toxicbug! b16 is a very nice engine for the price...stomps on mostv6/8 domestics all day :-)

thats the biz, no rev limit on that bad boy? whats your estimated 0 - 60 time? i've been wanting to tune up a b16 for ages now, i think you've finally made me do it, would you say the 1.8 stroke kit is worth the money? over here at least, its a hell of alot of cash for what, in my eyes, would be a minimal gain

common man...we all know stock b16,b18 vtec cant do much without mods
after the mods it stomps..:-)

you have to give credit to honda for making 1.6 and 1.8liter engines that destroys plenty of engines that are more than double its liter size

again the debate civic vs american cars... this annoying and that little civic is fast as hell and he likes his car he is happy so why come here and crap this thread

VParis85
02-09-2006, 06:11 PM
civic=1/2 the motor size but also half the weight bro and mod vs mod and power to price comparison you caint beat a V-8. Now a 350 smal block in a civic some how and rear wheal or all wheal drive it that would be sick, by the way your car is the :banana::banana::banana: though congrats very respectible times have fun and drive it like you stole it every now and then thats what you built it for and god for sake you pull up next to a nice vette with some punk driving reving his engine and :banana::banana::banana:... smoke his ass note dont try this with new z06 vette now thats one beautiful monster

Right now its a "stock" rotating assembly.
It has twin 58mm Throttle body, cold air intake, Lt4 intake Manifold, and Hooker Super Comp Headders. Deffinately wont pass emissions, since there is no emissions equipment on the engine.

Sorry didnt clear that up.

how did the guy attach the s2000 tbi's? my understanding is they wont fit on a type r intake manifold, could you verify this? with pictures perhaps? was this on another forum? as you say its not yours but seem to know all the work he had done

any help with this matter, greatly appriciated

most of you people are correct in saying he spent alot...he did. But most people who like domestic cars arent innaccurate either, with the stang gt, and some others, off the line you can get more bang for your buck. Personally I kinda like the new civic Si because it trumps the rsx type-s(type-s doesnt come with mechanical lsd). And all of the bseries engines need serious headwork and internal engine modification to be fully efficient and get the most out of them. Personally I like the K-series lineup more, and the f22. You can save on gas with a decent 4cyl engine, but without a turbo/nitrous(i dont like superchargers, they just arent enough and cause detonation in 4th cyl on b-series, you need a special timing retarding device or water injection cooling), you really dont have the tourque to beat the modern muscle unless your car is fully stripped.

Im a fan of both muscle and imports(though civics dont belong in the same showroom as the s2k), drag racing, track/timeattack, and autocross.
