ok, I have a MSI kt3 ultra, I would like to do the voltmod for it that is foune here. (http://www.mods4me.com/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=16&page=2) (mods4me)

But in this artical it says use a 18k resistor, but is dosnt say what wattage. or volts the resistor has to be. I went to a electronics store, and asked for a 18k resistor, and the lady said to me, "ok, how many watts?" Any help on this wouild be much appreachited. thanks you.

damn that mod4me !!!

really confusing, it says 18k or 50k but which one to use ????
18k and 50k give the same effect ???

s10010001,

do u get 1.85v right after the mod or u have to set it in BIOS ??
how many ohm do i need if i want 2.0v ???

the mod4me page says to use an 18k resistor or a 50k pot - so you can adjust to 18k or something close. Dont use a 50k resistor youll probably get like .01v more.

Just for kicks, here a pic of the volt mod. It gave me a max voltage of 1.98v to vcore, I am no longer useing the kt3 ultra, but it was a great board. and a pleasure working with it. This pic was take right before i heatsinked the power regulator chips.
