how_2 make an adjustable fan ?

Hi guys...

How do i make an adjustable fan ??

i know that i have to use a pot and so on.., but it don't work...

what am i doing wrong ??

its a 12v fan btw...

Here's one way to do it, though not the most efficient way:

12V supply--->pot--->fan--->Ground
or alternatively
12V supply--->fan--->pot--->Ground

The better way of doing it is with a speed controller, which are readily available at many stores.
