I installed the X-fi XtremeMusic on Tuesday, initial install went fine.

Yesterday, when I restarted my computer, I had to uninstall the X-fi because of a conflict. I then reinstalled the X-fi and the sound worked.

Today, I turn on my computer and in "device manager", X-fi didn't even show. I tried reinstalling via CD and "add new hardware", and still no X-fi in "device manager".

I tried disableing ac'97 audio via bios, still dont work ....

I need some advice :)

System specs are in sig and I'm using XP Pro SP2
