did my 200gb go off the deep end?

I started moving files from HDD A to HDD B, forwhatever reason it locked up my pc and apon reboot I couldn't get into windows no way no how. So now reinstalling windows two times. I was able to start reformating the 200gb (deleted partition in windows install, rebooted into windows) apon starting the format it got up to 37% and the pc locked up (great huh), rebooted and now its not even showing under anything (my computer, hdd management) Has the drive gone officially off the deep end? Second maxtor drive failing within a month of each other on two diff pc's, not cool. :mad:

and lets see if we can save your files
Just make sure you know which Drive is which
