Low score in 01?

I have around a 24k in 01...
My specs are...

x850xt @ 550/560
Intel 550j-c @ 4.0ghz *(236fsb)*
2x 512mb pqi sticks at 295 fsb 4/5/5/12
p5wd2 premium


I see people getting similar scores with 9800xt's :(

You're running a P4, and a 5xx series chip at that. With a fully tweaked win 2k /w cat 4.12's and DX8.1 you'd be quite a bit higher though.

2k1 is very CPU dependant. UnG beat me (at the time i had a P4 540 @ 4 GHz + 6600GT) with a venice 3000+ @ 2.7 GHz and an X700 Pro

Turn off Hyper threading, it'll help.

yeah that is low, i have an x800 xl, amd 64 3200+, and 1 gig pc 2700 ram ( i need new ram, i know), yet my score has broken 26,000.
