I bought this kit a week ago. I had to set memory to 188mhz to get to 300x9 i had before with my corsair twinx xl 2x256 in 1:1, but it looks like the max I can reach like this is 263. 264 gives memtest errors. anyway, not that I care so much about it right now, the problem I got is that cpu-z and sandra 2005 shows as SPD timings 3-5-5-10

Not to mention that I cant get anywhere near 265 fsb in 1:1 so I'm pretty disappointed. maybe Its something I do wrong, but whats the deal with the wrong SPD timings on both cpu-z and sandra? bad batch? Should I RMA it or not?

thanks for your time

The timings in the SPD are so loose to ensure compatibility on all systems and in all conditions, you must manually set 3-4-4-8. See here (http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=74524), here (http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1044764#post1044764), here (http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1044764#post1044764) or here (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=83515) for optimal settings to overclock your memory ;).

before we set it on 3-4-4-8 but it auto boot as 3-3-3-7. some customers can't reach DDR500 and they don't know how to set the bios. that is why we change spd to 3-5-5-10
