^It's not safe for the car, anyone around the car, or the machine itself.

He's also not getting an accurate reading, shifting like that. The point is to start LOW in the revs on whatever gear you're pulling, usually 4th.

I wonder why some people run their car like that...like was said you need to start in your 1:1 gear from a low RPM and take it all the way to the top to get an accurate reading of the whole powerband.

^They do it just to make stupid videos like that, so their car seems more powerful.

I'd be surprised if that thing was much over 300HP.

That sounded more like a stock skyline with stripped exhaust, and a spark trick.

'wow... this video has everything that i love about cars'

i take it u dont drive then? as a good friend once said to me 'any fool can drive in a straight line, hitting a corner is where driving really begins'

man i'd hate to take my car there for a dyno, as said, the setup is all wrong and the car isnt that well sucured, wonder who owns that garage, stevie wonder?

now this video is a goodun

There was no "spark trick." Cars can actully do that when they run hight psi from the turbo. It casue crazy rich when they shift. The skyline was pushing way more then 300 hp.

it wasnt a spark trick, they are real flames, there easy to kick out on most turbo cars with a straight through exhaust system, hell a 200bhp rover coupe turbo can kick them out, you can also kick flames out of nasp's running about 160bhp depending on the fuel air mix and exhaust system, just because it kicks flames out doesnt mean its running crazy bhp, it cant be anything special because he'd have shown the dyno results surely

Yeah flames come from rich exhaust. The easiest way to make it being a turbo and a blowoff valve. You even say most turbo cars.
Its a skyline. I dont think people woll pay 100k+ to get one only to leave it stock. Whihc in the video you can see its not. It even looks like you can see the turbo. That is a fast skyline.

Added: I counted around 11 seconds in my head that it was on the gas. Since you can do 1/4 mile runs on dynos that could of been what it was doing.

They only went up to 4th gear....
