Are vid card volt mod really boosting scores in 3dmark? I have read articles that go both ways. Some say, yes, definitely atleast 500-1k boost in marks, others say hardly no boost compared to the risk involved with the mod.

Before I run the risk of killing my Ti4400 D-E-D dead, I am curious what you guys think.

I have the Thermaltake mod on it and a Volcano9 cpu fan mounted no more than 3inches away blowing at 5400rpm to help with cooling the ram sinks.

Makes a huge difference w/ mine. I can do like 335/650 w/ no vmod & like 360/715 w/ vmod :)

Huge difference. RAM not as much as GPU, but then again I have no ramsinks or anything on them. Use SMD grabbers/Micro Clips to do the mod if you're not comfortable soldering.

Would a 1kohm on the Vmem and Vgpu be sufficient?

Or should I go to a vr1.5 or so?

Is it really possible to vmod your vidcard using smd grabber? Im picking some up to do my mobo so I should get a couple more for my card. Will it work on a MSI ti4600?

I use SMD's for mine. I remove the mod completely when not benching :)

They should work fine on a Ti4600 ;)

P.S. I'm moving this to vmods forum.

It will definately raise your score if your video card is your current bottleneck. It raised mine from 19388 to 20540 with no other driver or hardware changes.

Ive looked at this forum and I cannot find anything on voltmodding a ti4600. Can someone please direct me to a link where I can get some info regarding this mod. The only one ive seen is for a 4200, will that be the same procedure to modding my 4600? thx
