Hello!

I have heard, in less than 1 year, AMD release new CPUs with new Sockets like M2 etc.
And i want a new CPU like an Opty (148 or DC 180) with new Rams.

And my question is:
Shall i wait for the new CPUs or shall i buy an actual Opty?

My Winnie runs well and the highest priority is the 2x1gig RAM, i need more Ram but about the new CPUs. Shall i wait or not.

I need any suggestions please.

Your CPU at 2.5 is fast enough for a while.......wait!

You are happy with your 700pro?

Yes my CPU runs 2500Mhz.. for a while, i think i must set the FSB (sometime)down because the Memory Controller is not so good. Is 2300 okay for a wait? If yes okay then i will wait for the new CPU and Mobo ;)

About my 700Pro: Yes i'm happy but sometimes i got problems with games which need high power (it's cooled with an ATI Silencer Rev2.0).

Then you should buy new GFX instead of cpu, pci-e will be used on the AM2 socket also :)

A good suggestion. Thank you ;)

The new AMD cpu's will be here soon, but how long before we'll have a good mobo ? (DFI for instance :) )

IMHO , it will take another 4-6 months... Remember you have to buy a new cpu + AM2 mobo + DDR2 memory.

As mentioned already, just get a better videocard for now :D

6 Months isn't much ;) i will wait for the new hw and then let's go with oc :)

I don't know which videocard? There are tooooo much. Do you know a very good card for high performance games? But not a card which costs about 300€ :P

7800GT can be a good option, a friend of mine has ordered this. Compared to the prise I would say it is a very good chiose. How long until the x1900/"g71" (7900?) hits the market?

X850XT PE? This is a very good card but better is a X800 Pro which can be modded to X800XT PE or not?

About 7800GT: I haven't any skill about Nvidia cards :(
