Hello from Spain, I have a GSkill 2x1Gb 3-4-4-8 HZ 1T DDR-500 and very problems. My System:
-Motherboard Asus A8V Deluxe Rev.2 (chipset VIA K8T800Pro) and last bios.
-Opteron 170 Dual Core with high vdimm and LDT x4, x3.
-Source BeQuiet 400 W PFC.
Well, Proving each I indeed modulate in solitaire with himself ALMOST its specifications for HZ: 3-4-4-9 1T DDR-500 (with himself = STEP the 8 tests of Memtest86 without errors)
Mounting both modulos, it sweats until managing to pass the test: 3-4-4-15 1T DDR-500, dual channel (TRAS at 15 and other latencies relaxed).
When obtaining to pass the test procedi to take the Windows and loaded, but for example the Super test Pi 1 Mb already gave errors.
I can do this configuration: 2.5-3-3-6 1T DDR-480 (240 fsb), being totally stable (SuperPi 16 mb happened simultaneously in both cores).
Desperate already, I wrote mail to GSkill Suppot in Europe and give this settings:
Hardware memory hole: disable
Bank Interleaving: auto
Burst lenght: 4 beats
CAS: 3
TRAS: 15
TRP: 4
TRCD: 4
TRRD:2
TRC: 7
TRFC: 14
TRWT: 4
TWCL: 1
TWR: 3
Asynclat: 8
Read Preamble: 5.0 ns
2T command: disable
Vddr: 2.5~2.7v = OK
With this settings I can run Windows and Sisoft Sandra benchmark (cpu, multimedia, memory) without errors and GSkill specifications for HZ: 3-4-4-(15) 1T DDR-500.
But in SuperPi program always crash in >= 1 mb and Memtest86+ 1.65 I have errors a lot in test 5 (very strange).

I wrote to GSkill again and tell me: I think you should RMA the memory.
Can I do something before giving back them? (Sorry for my bad english).
