Copper is advised over Aluminium as it holds temps better at load than aluminium although may be slightly warmer at idle. The choice is often price related.

Do you have access to a cnc machine that would be able to machine a solid tube or would you need to make the base and braze the tube onto it?

Then you would need to make a brazed container. A solid container is best but a brazed is okay.

Why is a solid container the best though, it's just to hold the LN2, all that's working is the base.

Same reason as mentioned in your other thread dude, heat conducts up the walls so aids cooling.

Braze doesnt conduct the heat aswell as a solid copper tube

...... if you think that it does not help check results and ask Jason on HWA or LFC

what if you were to use silver braze. since silver has a higher thermal conductivity than copper

Its still better. Ask Jason or Kingpin for specfics.

Also, if I remember correctly, the brazing material may expand/contract at a different rate to the rest of the pot, so you risk cracking and leakage.
