When I put the gskill ram in I start the computer and it gets to the stage were the windows logo comes up but then it go's to a blackscreen and dose nothing. If I try to boot from CD or floppy it just frezzes soon after it starts.

However I have an few older sticks of ram and I put that in and it works fine.

My PC specs are:
DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR EXPERT 939
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 939 Venice Core
XFX nVidia 7800GT 256Mb PCI-E
Seagate 80GB HDD
Antec Truepower 2.0 550w EPS PSU

You might clear the CMOS and then select optimum settings in the BIOS and then reboot. This should allow you to boot and you can set your timings after that.

Have you set at least 2.7V in BIOS for RAM voltage ? 1GBGH are guaranteed for 2-2-2-5 but in the 2.7-2.9V range.

remember set bios to 2-2-2-5 DDR400/FSB200
2.7v~2.9v to see it works or not. if not then you can either replace with the place you purchase or RMA with us
