First off, the gskill.com site is down. So of course to go to http://www.gskill.com/f1-4800dsu2ff.html to look at the dram bios settings to configure and I can't load the page.

I am wondering if anyone here could recommend settings for my memory. My rig setup is listed below.

Thanks

Well I'm about to RMA this pair. Even with stock settings prime fails after 2hrs, but has gone to 6.5hrs. Intermitten hangs and bsod/restarts with overclocking and stock settings. Most bsod have some sort of memory dump error, sometimes its irq not less or equal. Also one bsod at stock with win2k.sys error, I have WinXP and didnt find that file on my hard drives at all.

Any last thoughts or helpful info?
thanks

well im trying to find max for ram now, odd thing with memtest, it is showing 1023m for memory.

Do I have a bad pair?

1023M for memtest86+ that is correct

if you get memory dump error, it is relay to both memory and your cpu memory controlor. sometime CPU overclock too much, windows will report those errors too. so make sure your only stress your memory to limit all other issue that will casue error

OK, I am doing memtest now, 306x7...it ran all last night at 300x7 with timings from the ddr600 tccd guide.

could it have been wrong dram settings that crashed intermittenly?

Tested both sticks at 310mhz overnight memtest and prime95, no errors.

Load stock values.

on saturday I tiedy to install windows with both dimms, bsod during install.
try one dimm, bsod again.
try other, installs fine.

put both dimms in, windows loads and works, test games...some crashes/bsod

remove the bad dimm that bsod while installing windows...games still reboot.
try bad dimm, 9 of 10 bootups bsod right before desktop loads with different messages.

to me this has to be a bad pair. both sticks should be able to load windows by themselves.

ps-used orange dimms when i had both gskill sticks in, yellow dimm with one stick.

also, booted and played games fine with 512mb corsair xms pc2700 ram.

im just waiting for a gskill tech to ensure me that its gotta be rma'd.

thanks

EDIT: with stock settings prime95 failed after 40mins with blend test(lots of ram tested).
i am sorry but i don't really understand what is really happening here

you say overclock is ok on DDR620 with overnight prime stable and not stock value?

sorry, just deleted post and moved post to new forum (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1267863#post1267863).

prime with 310 wasn't blend. So that would conclude its not cpu problem.

Wouldnt you say both sticks should install windows and load desktop?
