by no text you mean graphical install?
or point and click like windows?
I am checking out Mandrake 9.0 currently easy install lots of features installed by default.

have used:
redhat 8.0,7.3,7.2,7.0,6.2
mandrake ? cant remember the numbering but the last three releases.
slackware 8.1
libranet 1.9
caldera open linux
and maybe some others i forgot about.
I'm no expert by any means just like to tinker. still trying to find a linux distro that can do everything windows can but faster. It is getting there there is few proggies that i have to run in windows

the thing that most users fail to realize is that there ISN'T a best linux OS.
you use the best tool for the job, plain and simple.
if you're a new Linux user wanting to use linux on your desktop, use Mandrake or ReHat. It's a good stepping stone. Or, if you're going to run a firewall, don't use linux, use OpenBSD. There's more than one way to skin a cat, just be sure to at least look at a couple!

My favorite is easily Gentoo and I would suggest it to anyone, but I also realize that to each their own...Still Gentoo rulez
