Best 1M time - 29s

Athlon 4400+ @ 2700 (270x11)
2GB Ballistix @ 270 (3-3-3-7)

I would like to get down to 28s... would CPU @ 2750 (250x11) and RAM (2GB OCZ Plat EB) @ 250 (2.5-3-2-7) do it...?

-Thanks

Try it out...what tweaks are you running?

I am still trying to stabilize 250x11 :p:

As far as tweaks go... I don't guess I'm running any?! I have trimmed down the Windows Services... that's about it. I have read of several registry 'tweaks'... is this what you are referring to?

I pretty much disabled all my services...just broke 27s today...but I'm running a lot faster core...

I broke 25s with my new RAM. same core speed (~3.3ghz), but ram at 296mhz instead of 220. It's higher ram frequencies that do it.

Sorry for the OT question, but I'm wondering what RAM your using now? I've got the same problem, stuck at 236 with my current sticks and it's bottle necking me.

I just picked up a 2x512 kit of Centon Advanced PC3200 2-2-2-5 TCCD from the classifieds. So far ive seen 311mhz 2.5-4-3-7 at 2.9v :) huge improvement.
broke 24 sec 2 days ago :D

I can run SuperPi at one of two settings:

a) 128 MB RAM 2-2-2-5 HostCLK+33
b) 256 MB RAM 2-2-2-5 HostCLK

and I get exactly the same times. Therefore, I disagree about frequency being very important. Unless it's just my system http://entertainment3.co.za/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_redface.gif
