Why do they need liquid cooling? I thought the G5s heat output was nothing compared to something like a pentium D.

I run a dual 2.5Ghz Powermac G5, and the temps on mine, the first liquid-cooled G5, routinely sit at 65-70*C and spike to 86*C under load....

Really freaked me out the first day after switching from a A64, lol!

I think that only the high end is oc'ed, the below 2,5 they are running stock and they don't need wc.

LMAO.. it uses two DDC's... the DDC is a high pressure pump and from the looks of it that waterblock, if you could call it that, is ultra low restriction. stupidity.

yaa, coz the lower end g5s are oced and wced as high end ones, if ibm made better proc they would not need to oc
