I just built my A64 system today. I am confused about setting the timings of the ram. I have G. Skill 2x1gbhz ram and it runs great. It is at 220mhz now. I know the ram is tested for 3-4-4-8 but there are more than four numbers in the bios. Can someone give me a tip? I do not think it is running at 3-4-4-8 while on auto settings now. Thanks!!!

Sorry Martin I do not know what I was thinking:

DFI Ultra nF4
Opteron 148
SI-120 heastsink
2x1gb G. Skiill 4000hz ram
OCZ 520sli power supply

I was running the prime 95 torture test at 250mhz on the ram and 250x11=2750 on the cpu. I came back in the room after an hour or so and noticed that the computer was running but prime 95 was no where to be found running. So I decided the computer must have rebooted. The voltage is on 1.45 but in the smart guardian it says 1.4. Maybe it is undervolting a little. Any way i put the ram on 9/10 so now it is running at 211mhz and the processor at 250x11=2750mhz. Prime 95 ran the blended torture test all night (8 hours) without an issue. The comptuer idles at 31-33C and the highest temp last night was around 44C. So I am assuming that my ram needs to be adjusted from the motherboard default settings. I know the ram is supposed to run at 3-4-4-8. I do not think the motherboard defaulted to this speed though. There are so many numbers and acronyms in there I get lost... I am used to overclockng my Nforce 2 board and using the settings in there. Thanks!!!

set the FSB at 250 and 3-4-4-8, remember the set the HTT to *4 or *3. make sure your CPU has enough voltage nad give 2GBHZ around 2.6v. some A64tweaker pictures will helps me to determine the problem. :)
