Can you use photos I attached to your 1st post, and If you prefer, rehost them on your space and replace links, please?

Your originals were huge in dimensions as well as weight! 13MB is just insane! Resize photos before posting next time. Thanks!

I see your little computer speakers and raise you Dahlquist DQ-10s.

That's what I see if I turn left or right. If you know about Dahlquist speakers, they are phased so they work with each other and don't hit you with destructive interference. I tried to get some shots of the chair for a sense of scale, but my room is so small I couldn't really get the camera back far enough, I tried holding it over my head in a corner, so the shots are crappy looking, but it kind of gives you an idea.

Hm, wont it be pretty hard to move the chair since there is cables attached to the speakers? Would be way much better if they where cordless :)

Nice done anyway.

I don't want to do anything to them. I've had people offer me 500$ for them just as they are. Not only that, they would throw in 4 Advent speakers. They are extremely collectable and I want to keep them as original as possible.

I was given them by someone who didn't want to move them to their new house.

lol yea those shoes are the bling bling. at least in these pics. it was alos the first thing i noticed. i tried to use the red eye tool on them but it didint help any, and i ran out of ideas after that :D

nick:
i know what you think you see if a vapochill, and that i lsit one in my sig. but little does the untrained idea reliases taht its looking al the prototype of modular transluctance. that's right. its a transformer, robot in disguise if you will. this "trasnformer" is a little more than meets the eye. for this one is not just coil of wires around aroind iron, nay for its also a an am radio. and on certian cool evenigns i enjoy the soothing sounds of hte 70's on its mono speaker and tubular pleasure. i lied. it sjut a vapo :D:D:D

hye craig, i read a little bit about hte dalquit idea, i wanna take a whack at it, ( and my taek a whack at it i mean completey screw it up) but icant find any real documentation on it. got any links?

All I did was place two high end speakers less than a foot and a half away from my chair. There's nothing really to document.

lol i meant how they calibrate this time alignment for minimal distortion. i think it;d be fun to try and recreate. if its as simple as the curve of the box for speaker angle/distance it can be replicated. wich would cure boredom for long than the pr0n would.
i think my fav speakers are still the martin logans a firned of mine has. a panel speaker with no coils. the panel floats on static electricity, and is 20 time faster than cone speakers. it pwns my littl steel panel monsoon's :<

Oh, I don't know how these work their magic. They have a really elaboate crossover board that's probably dealing with the phases too, the speakers, even though they look similar and are from one set are not identical either. They have the same drivers, just put into a different configuration. This helps them work together somehow. (I really don't know that much about how speakers work)

oh i probly coudlnt reproduce it then. i'bebuilt a few guitar amps before, but all tube stuff and fairly simple circcuit,s i was hoping itd be somethign not as complicated.

AHHHHHHH the DQ 10's....
i had a set when they first came out,
totally impressive for their time frame.
but alas...ive gotten spoiled to Bose now .

and for a "chair " ...?
since i spend a lot of time running a racing simulation, i have taken off the slide brackets and other non essential metal from the bottom of a 1999 toyota privia van seat.

i now have lumbar...arm rests..cup holder...recline LOL.
