and i would reccommend getting the dangerden setup. good stuff, cheaper, and even cheaper if you minus the 50 bucks for the gpu block

thunderstruck!

I don't think you will find any Storm kits but I would do this. Get the Apex kit, replace the block with Storm, sell the Apogee for $40, and pick up a DD Maze4 GPU.

is the fillport this? http://www.dangerdenstore.com/files/images/reservoirs/fillport_res/fillres_150h.jpg
and another question, http://www.dangerdenstore.com/files/images/pumps/d5/d5_front_view_800w.jpg does the pump push water out the bottom part?

einCe
12-29-2005, 08:30 PM

thats only for a single 120mm rad though, are you gonna buy two? i would not suggest using a single 120 rad for both cpu and gpu if thats what you are thinking.

GuitarFreak1857
12-29-2005, 08:49 PM
look- http://www.frozencpu.com/images/products/detail_secondary_hires/ex-wat-76_2.jpg except for mine i'll have the fittings on the bottom of the radiator so i can run the tubes through the bottom like this one: http://www.jab-tech.com/product_images/detailed/d_940.jpg

Just picked up my storm a couple of days ago for $70 at crazypc

Ended up at $450 for the whole thing, but thats with the Lian Li, so wc ran me about 325ish

Bloody_Sorcerer
12-29-2005, 10:06 PM
i managed to WC with a storm, iwaki, and custom 2-302 (yeah, that saved a ton of money) for ~300 bucks. IMHO, a storm, D5, GPU block, and some rad for ~300 isn't unreasonable.

GuitarFreak1857
12-30-2005, 06:44 AM
i'm just going to go with the Dd kit beacuse i can get a discount on it and its better then the swiftech kit and it has a GPU block, so it sounds pretty good to me :D :D

GuitarFreak1857

that code is until 31dec so you have to place it asap

does that mean it won't work today??? beacuse the forums were down and i couldnt get the code. nvidiasli#1. and the christmas sale on the website said it ended the 23rd..

that voyeurmods kit is EXCELLENT. basically its the H20-APEX excellent edition (AKA has the storm)

Budwise
12-31-2005, 05:32 PM
stay away from Voyeurmods... Just becuase they say their stuff is in stock doesnt mean it is. They will charge your CC immediately and then make you wait for them to get it in stock. I ordered the Apex EE from there and a week later i cancelled my order becuase it never shipped, and yes they charged me a 15% restocking fee for something they never had in stock. I strongly urge you to stay away from them...

my tubing or fittings will not fit in a PCI slot. that was my plan too. but i ended up cutting a hole in the back.

Its a decent kit, but poory optimizied. With the MCP350 (DDC) a block like the MC6000 woud be the best choice.

GuitarFreak1857
01-01-2006, 09:46 AM
i'm thinking about just getting a Dd kit without a GPU block and get one later. and are there a lot more risks if i get a res?
